Sprint grant will provide 65 low-income Kennedy High students laptops, Internet

About 65 technology-deprived Kennedy Students get Dell laptops and Internet connectivity for two main years as a consequence of a $100,000 grant from Sprint.

On Wednesday, Sprint representatives presented Kennedy High administrators a check mark in the West Contra Costa Unified School District Board of Education meeting.

The teachers district was contacted in March by Contra Costa Supervisor John Gioia’s office about Sprint’s Project Connect grant program. In line with the program’s website, Sprint uses arises from recycled cellphones to buy and promote free Online safety resources to kids, parents and educators.
