Enroll! Golfers encouraged to swing for scholarships at 15th Sy and Beverly Zell tourney

Rather than attempting the elusive hole-in-one, golfers must look into swinging for scholarships.

The 15th Annual Sy and Beverly Zell Golf Tournament is about that occurs Sept. 29, and golfers, particularly foursomes, should sign up. And when you’re believing that chances are you’ll wait until this year to participate, be aware that the Zell family recently announced until this is stands out as the last tournament they’re going to host.

The event would be the Contra Costa College Foundation’s largest fundraiser and plays a part in its efforts to purchase scholarships for local students and various programs.

The tournament, which are located in honor of former San Pablo Mayor Joe Gomes, normally takes place in the Mira Vista Golf and Country Club at 7901 Cutting Blvd. in El Cerrito.
